Tour Scotland Video Winter Morning Drive From Broughty Ferry To Dundee Tayside



Tour Scotland video of a Winter morning drive on the A92 road from Broughty Ferry to Riverside Drive in Dundee Scotland. Dundee is served by the A90 road which connects the city to the M90 and Perth, Perthshire, in the west, and Forfar and Aberdeen in the north. The part of the road that is in the city is a dual carriageway and forms the city's main bypass on its north side, known as the Kingsway. East of the A90's Forfar Road junction, the Kingsway East continues as the A972, and meets the A92 at the Scott Fyffe roundabout. Travelling east, the A92 connects the city to Arbroath and Montrose and to the south with Fife via the Tay Road Bridge. The A930 links the city with coastal settlements to the east, including, Monifieth and Carnoustie.

Tour Scotland Video Winter Afternoon Drive From Dundee To Perth Perthshire



Tour Scotland Winter video of an afternoon drive West on the A90 road from Dundee on ancestry visit to Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. This Scottish road originates in Edinburgh, it the travels west and over the Forth Road Bridge, before turning into the M90 motorway. At Perth, the M90 again becomes the A90, now running north east to Dundee and through the Kingsway road system. It then passes Forfar, Brechin, Stracathro, the site of an ancient Roman Camp, Stonehaven, Bridge of Muchalls, where the Burn of Muchalls flows under, near Muchalls Castle, near Saint Ternan's Church, Newtonhill, Portlethen, from there through the city of Aberdeen, crossing the Ythan Estuary, on to Peterhead on its way to Fraserburgh.

Old Photograph Railway Station Old Kilpatrick Scotland

Old photograph of the railway station in Old Kilpatrick located three miles from Clydebank by Glasgow Scotland. This station on the Lanarkshire and Dunbartonshire Railway, was closed in 1964.

Old Photograph Moorfoot View Street Bonnyrigg Scotland

Old photograph of houses on Moorfoot View Street in Bonnyrigg located eight miles South East of Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1547 when the nations of Scotland and England were at war with one another, a fierce battle took place at Pinkie which is East of Dalkeith and the retreating Scots army with the English army in pursuit, headed westwards to the River North Esk where some 14,000 Scots perished. Many bodies strewed the countryside giving rise to the place being called “ boney ridge ” where many bones were found, hence the name Bonnyrigg.
