Tour Scotland photograph of rhododendrons in the garden at Megginch Castle in Perthshire, Scotland. Megginch Castle is a 15th century castle in Perthshire. It was the family home of the late Cherry Drummond, 16th Baroness Strange. The gardens of Megginch are sometimes open to the public. Splendid array of daffodils and rhododendrons.

Tour Scotland photograph of a bird sunbathing on a Highland Cow in Southern Perthshire, Scotland. The bird is a Ring Ouzel, Turdus torquatus, a European member of the thrush family Turdidae. Slightly smaller and slimmer than a blackbird, male ring ouzels are particularly distinctive with their black plumage with a pale wing panel and striking white breast band. The ring ouzel is primarily a bird of the uplands, where it breeds mainly in steep sided valleys, crags and gullies, from near sea level in the far north of Scotland up to high in the mountains of the Cairngorms.
