October 20th photograph of Melville House Doocot, North East Fife, Scotland. Unusual doocot, being a converted windmill. Cylindrical in form with sloping crow-stepped top added when converted from grinding corn to house pigeons. Located by Melville Gates roundabout, junction of A91 and A914, near Letham.

Dooocots may be square or circular free standing structures or built into the end of a house or barn. They generally contain pigeonholes for the birds to nest.
