Tour Scotland very short 4K early Autumn travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a kilt and and Sporran and walking by cliffs on Fugla Ness headland on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to the coast of West Burra, Shetland Islands, Britain, United Kingdom. A layer of ancient peat embedded in the eroding cliffs, formed around 110,000 to roughly 380,000 years ago, preserves ancient tree branches, pine and fir wood, seeds, and pollen. This reveals that Shetland once experienced a mild, oceanic climate with coniferous woodland. To safely guide vessels past the treacherous reefs of the Scalloway Islands, a navigation light was first established here in 1893 by the renowned engineer David A. Stevenson. Just inland from the headland lies a vast cavern known locally as the "Smuggler’s Cave". Geologically, this cavern was formed by the sea eroding an ancient tectonic fault line where blocks of rock shifted millions of years ago. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. Meteorological Autumn or Fall is different from standard and astronomical Autumn and begins September 1 and ends November 30
