Tour Scotland very short 4K Autumn travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a kilt and and Sporran and walking on Hawks Ness headland on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to the east coast of mainland Shetland Islands, Britain, United Kingdom. The headland is characterized by a high spine or ridge that rises to 272 feet at the Ward of Breiwick, angling sharply out into the North Atlantic Ocean and is also of national historical importance due to the presence of an Iron Age broch positioned at Corbie Geo. Like many ancient sites across Scotland, much of the original, neatly dressed building stone was historically dismantled and repurposed by later inhabitants to build nearby agricultural sheep folds and drystone dykes. The broch belongs to a vast network of hundreds of Iron Age towers spread across northern and western Scotland. It was purposely constructed on high coastal ground to serve as a high status farmstead, a community refuge, or a visual symbol of power overlooking vital maritime paths. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. Meteorological Autumn or Fall is different from standard and astronomical Autumn and begins September 1 and ends November 30
