Tour Scotland short 4K Winter snow falling travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a kilt and sporran and walking by cliffs at Whaligoe on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to the coast of the Highlands, Britain, United Kingdom. The Whaligoe Steps are a dramatic, hand-carved staircase of around 330-365 stone steps cut into the cliffs of Caithness. Built around the 1790s, possibly by Captain David Brodie, to access the natural Whaligoe Haven, a narrow inlet deemed unsuitable by engineer Thomas Telford. Whaligoe word likely comes from Norse words for "whale " and " inlet. " Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
