Scotsman Walking Wearing Kilt By Rattray Headland On History Visit To Aberdeenshire Scotland

Tour Scotland very short 4K travel video clip of a Scotsman wearing a kilt and and Sporran and walking by Rattray Headland on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to the coast of Aberdeenshire, Britain, United Kingdom. Rattray Head is a picturesque and historically significant headland on the Aberdeenshire coast, best known for its iconic offshore lighthouse built in 1895. The area also has ancient ties to the Rattray clan and shipwreck remains. The lighthouse was designed by brothers David Alan and Charles Stevenson and established in 1895 after decades of debate over how to mark the hazardous Rattray Briggs reef. On September 20, 1941, an enemy plane attacked the lighthouse, dropping three bombs and machine-gunning the lantern. Despite the damage, the light remained operational, and no one was injured. The lighthouse is located on a small skerry and can be reached by a causeway that is only visible and accessible at low tide. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
