Tidal Estuary On History Visit To Morar Western Highlands Scotland

Tour Scotland short 4K travel video clip of the tidal estuary on ancestry, genealogy, history visit and trip to the Western Highlands, Britain, United Kingdom. The tidal estuary is where the River Morar flows into Morar Bay, an inlet of the Sound of Sleat. The River Morar is exceptionally short, making its estuary a prominent feature. The river's flow and the shape of the estuary are affected by the tides, creating a dynamic environment. Following Viking raids, Morar became part of the Kingdom of the Isles, a Norwegian dependency. Eventually, it was divided, with Morar becoming part of Garmoran, ruled by the MacRory clan. The last laird of Morar was Eneas Ranald MacDonell, who sold most of the estate in the late 19th century. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
