Kingfisher By A River With Music On Visit To The Highlands Of Scotland

Tour Scotland short 4K wildlife camera travel video clip, with bagpipes bagpipes music, of a Kingfisher bird on visit by a river on visit and trip to the Highlands, Britain, United Kingdom. A colourful bird of rivers and streams, the kingfisher can be spotted sitting quietly on low hanging branches over the water. The kingfisher is a small bird with unmistakable plumage. Its back is bright metallic blue and its breast is a coppery-brown. The beak is long and black, though females have a red patch at the base. It was once thought that kingfishers had destructively voracious appetites, so much so that they were persecuted by owners of fisheries in the 1800s. The kingfisher is widespread in the UK but is absent from northern Scotland. It is active all year round near rivers, canals and wetlands. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome.
