Tour Scotland travel video of the Sir Leybourne Stanley Patrick Davidson burial vault in the graveyard on ancestry visit to Currie Kirk, Edinburgh. Stanley was born on March 3, 1894 in Sri Lanka, to Sir Leybourne Francis Watson Davidson and Jane Rosalind Dudgeon Davidson. During the beginning of World War I in 1914, he enlisted in the Gordon Highlanders of British army and was seriously wounded in 1915. After recovering from his injuries he resumed his medical studies at the University of Edinburgh and in 1919 graduated with first class honours. He married Isobel Margaret in July 27, 1927 at Edinburgh and was resident of the Woodhall House, Edinburgh from 1953 to 1957. He died on September 27, 1981. His best known writing was his medical textbook Principles and Practice of Medicine, which was first published in 1952.
