Summer Loch Lomond And Ben Lomond Mountain With Music On History Visit To Trossachs Of Scotland

Tour Scotland 4K Summer travel video, with Scottish bagpipes music, of Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond mountain, Scottish Gaelic: Beinn Laomainn meaning Beacon Mountain on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit and trip to Trossachs National Park, Britain, United Kingdom. Ben Lomond is a mountain in the Scottish Highlands. Situated on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, it is the most southerly of the Munros, a mountain in Scotland with a height over 3,000 feet. Munros are named after Sir Hugh Munro, 4th Baronet, born 1856, died 1919, who produced the first list of such hills. Ben Lomond lies within the Ben Lomond National Memorial Park and the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, property of the National Trust for Scotland. Its accessibility from Glasgow and elsewhere in central Scotland, together with the relative ease of ascent from Rowardennan, makes it one of the most popular of all the Munro hills. On a clear day, it is visible from the higher grounds of Glasgow and across Strathclyde. Ben Lomond summit can also be seen from Ben Nevis, the highest peak in Britain, over 40 miles away. The West Highland Way runs along the western base of the mountain, by the loch. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
