Standing Stones With Music On History Visit To Lundin Links East Neuk Of Fife Scotland

Tour Scotland 4K travel video, with Scottish music, of Standing Stones on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to Lundin Links by Lower Largo, East Neuk of Fife, Britain, United Kingdom. The Lundin Links stones stand on the second fairway of the Ladies Golf Club at Lundin Links. The stones range from thirteen feet to seventeen feet tall. In the early 1700s cists and bones were found here. It is thought that the stones were used by Druids as a ceremonial place. Excavations nearby revealed remains of several stone cists dating back about 2000 years. What is more certain is that the Lundin Links stones are easily among the most impressive prehistoric remains in Scotland. The 18 hole course, Lundin Golf Club, was used as a pre-qualifying course when The Open Championship is held at St. Andrews. Lundin Ladies' Golf Club, a 9 hole course, is the oldest women's golf course in the world. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
