Tour Scotland 4K Autumn travel video of a road trip drive, with Scottish music, on the A924 road East across the hills on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit to the Parish Church and graveyard in Kirkmichael in Strathardle in East Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. The road starts above Moulin and in this video ends at the church in Kirkmichael. There are signs along the road warning drivers of sheep on the road. The road find a narrow pass to climb out of Glen Brerachan and crosses the watershed. The Church of Scotland parish church of Kirkmichael is situated on the main road through the village. The church dates back to the 18th century and is built on a site used for worship for over 1000 years. It is surrounded by the original graveyard which contains graves dating back to the time of the Black Death. The name Kirkmichael means church of Saint Michael; the Gaelic name is Cill Mhìcheil. The village dates back over a thousand years and was at one time an important market in the cattle trade between the Highlands and Lowlands with various drove roads converging on the village. The area became popular as a holiday resort following Queen Victoria's building of Balmoral Castle in nearby Deeside. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day. Find things to see and do in Scotland where you are always welcome. When driving on Scottish roads in Scotland slow down and enjoy the trip
