Spring Road Trip Drive With Bagpipes Music On History Visit To Kinkell Bridge Perthshire Scotland

Tour Scotland 4K Spring travel video, with Scottish bagpipes music, of a road trip drive North on the B0862 route on ancestry, genealogy, family history visit and trip to Kinkell Bridge which spans the River Earn in Strathearn, Perthshire, Britain, United Kingdom. Built around 1793, the bridge replaced an older ferry crossing to provide a reliable carriage route for heavy wagons and goods traffic. Kinkell was an ancient parish dedicated to St Bean, or Beanus, a 10th century saint believed to have dwelt in the area. A former toll house, now a private home, still stands at the north end of the bridge. Historically, it served as a collection point for tolls, which helped maintain the local road network. The village of Kinkell Bridge lies on the River Earn two miles north of Auchterarder. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
