Spring Two Bridges On History Visit To The Firth Of Forth Scotland

Tour Scotland 4K Spring travel video of two bridges which span the Firth of Forth on visit between South Queensferry in Lothian and North Queensferry in Fife, Scotland. The Queensferry Crossing in the distance is the latest road bridge, the Forth Road Bridge is a suspension bridge which opened in 1964. The Firth of Forth, Scottish Gaelic: Linne Foirthe, is the estuary or firth of several Scottish rivers including the River Forth. It meets the North Sea with Fife on the north coast and Lothian near Edinburgh on the south coast. It was known as Bodotria in Roman times. In the Norse sagas it was known as the Myrkvifiörd. An early Welsh name is Merin Iodeo, or the " Sea of Iudeu." The date for astronomical spring is Sunday 20th March 2022, ending on Tuesday 21st June, while by the meteorological calendar, spring will start on Tuesday 1st March. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
