Old photograph of Park House in Carloway village on the Island of Lewis, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Park House was the building in which the Edinburgh Free Church Ladies started the first Board of Education School in Carloway in 1857. Carloway has a few historical sites. An Iron Age Broch in Doune Carloway, a Blackhouse Village in Garenin and many others, including a standing stone called Clach an Tursa in Upper Carloway.
