Tour Scotland 4K early Winter travel video of a road trip drive, with Scottish music, North on the A9 road on visit to Ballinluig, Gaelic: Baile an Luig, in Highland Perthshire. Ballinluig Services open for fuel from 6:30am until 9pm Monday to Sunday. Motor Grill open from 8am until 7.30pm (last orders) every day. Ballinluig is a village in the Logierait Parish in Perth and Kinross, Ballinluig lies on the River Tummel adjacent to the A 9 road, four miles South East of Pitlochry. It developed in the 19th Century at a junction of the Highland Railway with a branch leading to Aberfeldy. The branch and station here closed in 1965. The A9 is a major road running from central Scotland to Scrabster Harbour, Thurso in the far north, via Stirling, Bridge of Allan, Perth and Inverness. At 273 miles, it is the longest road in Scotland and the fifth longest A road in the United Kingdom. Historically it was the main road between Edinburgh and John o' Groats, and has been called the spine of Scotland. Drive with great care and patience on this road as it regularly appears in lists of Scotland's most dangerous roads. When driving in Scotland, slow down and enjoy the trip.
