Tour Scotland travel video of a Winter morning road trip drive, with Scottish music, from Edinburgh Road, through Perth to the village of Scone, where I live, after visit to Perth, Perthshire. The medieval village of Scone, which grew up around the monastery and royal residence, was abandoned in the early 19th century when the residents were removed and a new palace was built on the site by the Earl of Mansfield. Hence the modern village of Scone, and the medieval village of Old Scone, can often be distinguished. During the coronavirus pandemic I have been a volunteer driver doing some shopping for elderly Scots. From Tuesday 5 January, mainland Scotland moved from Level 4 to a temporary Lockdown. Examples of reasonable excuses to go out include essential shopping, including essential shopping for a vulnerable person.
