Statue Of King James VI On Visit To Glamis Castle In Angus Scotland

Tour Scotland travel video, with Scottish music, of the statue of King James VI on visit to the grounds of Glamis Castle in Angus Region. James VI and, James Charles Stuart; born 19 June 1566, died 27 March 1625, was King of Scotland as James VI from 24 July 1567 and King of England and Ireland as James I from the union of the Scottish and English crowns on 24 March 1603 until his death in 1625. The kingdoms of Scotland and England were individual sovereign states, with their own parliaments, judiciaries, and laws, though both were ruled by James in personal union. At 57 years and 246 days, James's reign in Scotland was the longest of any Scottish monarch. The surname Stuart was an occupational name for a steward, the official in charge of a noble household and its treasury. One common alternate spelling of the name is a result of the influence of Mary, Queen of Scots, who was educated in France, and consequently spelled the name Steuart or Stuart.
