Road Trip Drive On A917 And B9131 Roads To Visit St Andrews Fife Scotland

Tour Scotland travel video of a Summer afternoon road drive, with Scottish music, East on the A917 road through Pittenweem and Anstruther, then North on the B9131 road to the perimeter wall of the Cathedral on history visit to St Andrews, Fife. The Cathedral perimeter wall was built around 1500 when an outbreak of disease threatened the town and the religious community. The Cathedral Priory wanted to protect themselves, leaving the remaining Culdees and the townsfolk, outside the wall. The A917 is the East Neuk of Fife Coast Road, running round three sides of the rectangle between Largo and St Andrews, whilst the much shorter A915 takes the direct route.
