Streets much quieter than usual. A total of 76 people in Scotland have died from coronavirus. The number of confirmed cases currently sits at 2310 on April 2nd, 2020. Perth has been known as The Fair City since the publication of the story Fair Maid of Perth by Scottish writer Sir Walter Scott in 1828. During the later medieval period the city was also called St John's Toun or Saint Johnstoun by its inhabitants in reference to the main church dedicated to St John the Baptist. ( While keeping a Social Distance you can still take a drive for shopping during the Coronavirus Pandemic keeping yourself out of close contact with other people )
