Storm Dennis River Tay In Spate Perth Perthshire Scotland
Tour Scotland 4K travel video from the railway bridge of the River Tay in spate after heavy rain during Storm Dennis on visit to Perth, Perthshire. The River Tay begins life as a tiny spring on Ben Lui and changes its name several times before it passes through Loch Tay. By the time it reaches the end of its journey at the Firth of Tay near Dundee it is almost 2 miles wide and can carry more water than the Thames and the Severn combined. The river is home to internationally important populations of salmon, otter and lamprey and is reputed as one of Scotland's finest angling rivers.
