Gilchrist Memorial Stained Glass Window St Machar's Cathedral Aberdeen Scotland
Tour Scotland travel video of the Marshall Gilchrist memorial stained glass window in St Machar's Cathedral on visit to Aberdeen. Marshall was an outstanding organist in this cathedral and was also later President of Edinburgh Society of Organists in 1941 to 1942. Gilchrist is an English language surname of Gaelic origin. In some cases it is derived from the Gaelic personal name Gille Crìosd ("servant of Christ"). An Irish form of the surname is Mac Giolla Chríost. Scottish Gaelic forms of the surname include GilleChrìost, and GilleChriosd.
