Old Photograph Of Packing Tweed On St Kilda Scotland

Old photograph of islanders packing Tweed on St Kilda, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. The islanders on St Kilda wove tweed cloth. The cloth was warm and virtually waterproof which made it highly suitable for the climate of the islands of St Kilda. St Kildans also used the tweed as payment towards their rent and for trading with the tourists who visited the islands in the 19th and 20th centuries.
