Elizabeth Longley, born 1831, aged 28, an English settler from Yorkshire travelled from London aboard the ship Zealandia arriving in Lyttelton, Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand on 14th November 1859. Richard Longley, born 1835, aged 24, an English brickmaker from Yorkshire travelledfrom London aboard the ship Zealandia arriving in Lyttelton, Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand on 14th November 1859. George Longley, born 1787, died 1842, was an English born businessman, farmer and political figure in Upper Canada. James Wilberforce Longley, born 1849, died 1922, was a Canadian journalist, lawyer, politician, and judge.
