Old photograph of Church Street in Aboyne in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The street is closely tied to the ecclesiastical and developmental history of the village, which was founded in 1671 by Charles Gordon, the first Earl of Aboyne. The area is historically significant as the site of early religious worship and, more recently, for its association with the Free Church movement in the 19th century.
