Old Photograph Elm Grove Street St Monans East Neuk Of Fife Scotland

Old photograph of houses on Elm Grove Street in St Monans, in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland. The old fishing village takes its name from St Monance who was killed by invading Danes in about 875. St Adrian was killed on the Isle of May in the same raid and 6,000 Fife Christians are said to have died. The Fife Coastal walking Path is a Scottish long distance walking footpath that runs from Kincardine to Newburgh. It runs for 117 miles along the coastline of Fife and passes through many seaside towns and villages including St Monans. The path would take around one week to walk completely from end to end. I was raised in the East Neuk of Fife
