Old Photograph Dalmore House Scotland

Old photograph of Dalmore House near Alness, Easter Ross, Scotland. The house is a classic, Victorian, baronial style mansion with views towards the Moray Firth. Sitting in lawned gardens, the property is surrounded by mature woodland with access to some delightful river walks. The original Dalmore House was built in the 1890s for a local whisky distillery owner. It burnt down in the 1933. Two years later, a similar house, the one that exists today, was built. For almost 50 years it was an old people's home and was more recently used as a respite and holiday home.
