Old Photograph United Free Church Stanley Perthshire Scotland

Old photograph of the United Free Church in Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland. Stanley Free Church was formed at the Disruption, when the minister and many of the congregation of the quoad sacra church adhered to the Free Church and erected a church and manse. It passed successively to the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, in the latter case as Stanley St James's, which united with Stanley Tower in 1959 as Stanley. The Church of Scotland charge was in the presbytery of Perth and the synod of Perth and Stirling.
