The Royal Highland Hotel in Inverness is the oldest hotel in the city centre, originally opening as the Station Hotel in 1856 to coincide with the arrival of the railway. It is renowned for its grand Victorian architecture and its connection to historical events, notably serving as a critical hub during World War.
