Old photograph of the Alexandra Theatre in Greenock by Glasgow, Scotland. The Alexandra Theatre was opened on 10th August 1905. It was designed by local Greenock architects Boston, Menzies and Morton and was a replacement theatre for the town’s Theatre Royal, almost adjacent, which had closed in 1905 as a live theatre, to become the Hippodrome Theatre presenting variety shows. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
