Old Photograph Railway Station Ballindalloch Scotland

Old photograph of the railway station at Ballindalloch, Strathspey, Scotland. This was a two platform station at Cragganmore, Ballindalloch Castle was two miles away by road. Nearer was Cragganmore Whisky Distillery. The distillery was intentionally opened here due to the proximity of the railway. The former railway station which stands on the Speyside Way long distance footpath, was leased by the Moray council as a backpackers’ hostel until it closed because of a problem with the water supply.
