Old Photograph Parish Church Dailly Scotland

Old photograph of the Parish Church in Dailly located eight miles South of Maybole in South Ayrshire, Scotland. This Scottish village was laid out in the 1760s as a coal-mining village. In 1849 a fire broke out in Dalquharran Colliery, one of the nearby mines, and continued to burn for 50 years. The church was built in 1766 at a cost of £600. The church replaced the old church of Bargany.
