Old Photograph Crofter Herding Highland Cows Isle Of Skye Scotland

Old photograph of a Crofter herding Highland Cows on the Isle of Skye, Inner Hebrides, Scotland. Highland cows originate from the West of Scotland and are, as a breed, exceptionally hardy. They are perfectly adapted to the harsh Scottish climate, strong winds, heavy rainfall and poor grazing of the hills and mountains they call home. They are able to live outside throughout the year, with a natural ability to convert poor grazing efficiently.
