Old photograph of St Llolan's Cell in Broughton in the Scottish Borders, Scotland. St Lliolan may have been a monastic bishop in north Wales who worked with St Tysilio. He may have become a refugee from Wales after the Battle of Chester in 615 when the Anglo-Saxons slew many monks. He used Broughton in the Scottish Borders as a base for evangelism.
