Old Photograph Kintore Street Auchenblae Scotland

Old photograph of houses and vintage cars on Kintore Street in Auchenblae, Scottish Gaelic: Achadh nam Blàth, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This Scottish village was known for its weavers, a whisky distillery and the annual horse market. It is featured in Lewis Grassic Gibbon's novel, Sunset Song. The name is a derivation from the Gaelic for "Field of Flowers" possibly due to the growing of flax in bygone times. History Blog post of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to travel and visit one day.
