Tour Scotland Travel Video Sine Bhan Gaelic Song

Tour Scotland travel video Blog of the Sine Bhan Gaelic song by singers from the Gaelic Choir on ancestry visit to Dundee, Tayside, Scotland.

Sine Bhann was written by Duncan Johnstone, who lived on Island of Islay, and reflects a young Islay man who has answered the call to serve his country in the first world war. He has to take his sad parting of Sine Bhan, fair Jean, and he leaves his native shore to the sound of the drums and pipes, as he heads off to war. He expresses the hope that he will survive the big guns of war, and return to make his permanent dwelling in Islay with Sine Bhan.
