Tour Scotland travel video Blog of the Scott Wilson memorial sculpture on ancestry visit to Glen Prosen, Angus, Scotland. Edward Wilson was chief scientist, surgeon and artist on the expedition and died with Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Scott of the Antarctic, and his colleagues on the return from the Terra Nova Expedition to Antarctica and the South Pole in late March 1912. This monumental sculpture was unveiled, by Scott and Wilson's descendants in December 2012. The sculpture is the largest granite sculpture created in Scotland since the 1920’s. The sculpture is sited at Scott’s View, Glen Prosen. The Terra Nova Expedition, officially the British Antarctic Expedition, was an expedition to Antarctica which took place between 1910 and 1913.
