Tour Scotland travel video Blog of Achadh Mhealbhaich Beach on ancestry visit to the coast of Wester Ross in the Scotish Highlands of Scotland. The name comes from the Gaelic " Achadh " meaning a plain or meadow and " mealvaich " meaning sandy dunes. The beach is popular with fishermen with cod, haddock, whiting, pollack, saithe and mackerel being common catches. It is also popular with water skiers, windsurfers and kayakers.
