Old Photograph Monkbarns Hotel Street Arbroath Scotland

Old photograph of the Monkbarns Hotel in Arbroath, Scotland. The name " Monkbarns " pays homage to Sir Walter Scott's famous 1816 novel, The Antiquary. In the book, Jonathan Oldbuck is the Laird of Monkbarns, and the fictional setting of " Fairport " is widely recognized as being heavily based on the town of Arbroath.
