Old photograph of Bridge House on the approach to Blackcraig Castle near Ballintuim in Perthshire, Scotland. An elaborate, baronial covered bridge with gatehouse above is a unique design in Scotland dating to 1870. Designed by Patrick Allan Fraser of Hospitalfield, Arbroath, who purchased the estate of Blackcraig from the trustees of Robert Rattray in 1847. It became part of the Hospitalfield Arts Trust after the death of Fraser in 1890 and was later sold and run as a guest house for a number of years.
