Tour Scotland travel video Blog of steam locomotives 61994 and 5231 in the railway yard on visit to Fort William, a town in the western Scottish Highlands, on the shores of Loch Linnhe, Scotland. LNER 3442 The Great Marquess is a member of the London and North Eastern Railway, LNER Class K4 was designed by Nigel Gresley for the steep grades of the West Highland Railway Line. It was renumbered 1994 in the LNER's 1946 renumbering scheme, and then renumbered 61994 by British railways after the 1948 nationalisation of Britain's railways. London Midland and Scottish Railway, LMS) Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 No. 5231, British Railways no. 45231 is a preserved British steam locomotive. In preservation, it has carried both the names 3rd (Volunteer) Battalion The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment and The Sherwood Forester, though it never carried either of these in service.
