Old photograph a vintage car and and houses on Sea Wynd in Aberlady, East Lothian, Scotland. In the Middle Ages, Aberlady was an important harbour for fishing, sealing, and whaling. Aberlady also had strong links with the monasteries on the island of Iona and the tidal island of Lindisfarne from the 7th century, and its role was to facilitate the pilgrim traffic between the two sites. Aberlady Parish Church dates back to the 15th century. It was rebuilt in 1887. Of interest to folks with ancestry, genealogy or Scottish Family Roots in Scotland who may wish to visit one day.
