Tour Scotland Video Reindeer Winter Festival City Centre Perth Perthshire
Tour Scotland video of Reindeer at the Winter Festival on visit to the City Centre on ancestry visit to Perth, Perthshire, Scotland. In traditional festive legend, Santa Claus's reindeer pull a sleigh through the night sky to help Santa Claus deliver gifts to children on Christmas Eve. The commonly cited names of the eight reindeer are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen. They are based on those used in the 1823 poem A Visit from St. Nicholas, commonly called The Night Before Christmas, arguably the basis of the reindeers' popularity. The reindeer, Rangifer tarandus, also known as caribou in North America, is a species of deer with circumpolar distribution, native to arctic, subarctic, tundra, boreal, and mountainous regions of northern Europe, Siberia, and North America.
