Old photograph of a thatched cottage by Claggan Bay, Island of Islay, Inner Hebrides, Scotland. The UNITY, a 12 ton ship, with no cargo and a crew of three, whose Captain was McRoy, of Belfast, was bound from Belfast to Islay on 8 Oct 1906 when she anchored at Claggan Bay. The ship dragged her anchor and drifted ashore five miles south of MacArthurs head Lighthouse. All the crew were saved.
