Old photograph of the bridge in Carloway village on the Island of Lewis, Outer Hebrides, Scotland. The bridge carries the A858 public road over the Carloway River between the settlements of Knock Carloway, to the South, and Upper Carloway, to the North. Carloway has a few historical sites. An Iron Age Broch in Doune Carloway, a Blackhouse Village in Garenin and many others, including a standing stone called Clach an Tursa in Upper Carloway.
