Old photograph of farmers harvesting near Bowden, three miles South of Melrose, Borders, Scotland. First recorded as Bothanden, Old English for " houses at the stream ", its history spans over nine centuries, deeply intertwined with Scottish royalty, monastic orders, and prominent border families.
