Old photograph of a cottage, vintage car and people in Burnside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The name is derived entirely from the local landscape, combining the Scots term burn, meaning stream and side. Emigrating farmers carried it abroad, most notably naming the City of Burnside in Australia.
