Old Photograph Strait Path Street Banff Scotland

Old photograph of shops, houses, people and fountain on Low Street in Banff, Scotland. Banff became a Royal Burgh in the 12th century, granting it significant trading rights and establishing it as a prosperous port. It flourished through coastal and overseas trade, particularly in the Hanseatic League of northern burghs, despite lacking a formal harbour until the late 18th century.
