Ferniehaugh is a one bedroom detached cottage, it retains all its traditional charm while providing every modern comfort. Deceptively compact from the outside, it is spacious yet cosy within. Fully renovated and decorated in 2014, it is furnished and equipped to an excellent standard. There is free parking and free WiFi throughout. Linen, towels, basic supplies and all utilities are included in the price and there are no additional fees or taxes. An extra bed can be provided in the sitting room for stays of 7 nights or more. The sitting room is on ground level, with beamed ceiling, woodburning stove, a range of ambient lighting, comfortable seating and a 32' HD TV, Blu Ray DVD player and Roku streaming stick with free Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime. There is a wide selection of books, magazines and DVDs. Glass paned doors lead through to the spacious, light filled kitchen with solid oak cupboards, dining table and chairs, quarry tiled floor and traditional overhead airer. Fully integrated appliances include washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. As well as microwave, electric kettle and toaster there is a great range of high quality cooking equipment. Further glass doors lead from the kitchen to the conservatory and a glass back door to the small terrace area. A staircase leads from the sitting room to the tranquil upstairs bedroom with its original beamed and coombed ceiling, view of the hills, king size bed, luxury bedding and dual control electric blanket. Next to the bedroom is the bathroom with bath and overhead thermostatic shower. There is a regular bus service to the centre of Edinburgh and a bus service to Lanark which stops directly beside the train station for Glasgow. By car, Biggar is also convenient for the M74, the Scottish Borders and the beaches of the east coast. The town is also a great base for walkers and for a huge range of activities and visitor attractions. Biggar has several museums, including the Moat Park Heritage Centre, Gladstone Court Museum, Greenhill Covenanters Museum, and the Biggar Gasworks Museum, the only preserved gas works in Scotland.



Sweet Pea cottage is a single storey annex attached to a Georgian villa, in lovely countryside in Wiston near Biggar. The cottage has a double bedroom, a shower room, a kitchen with breakfast bar and a sitting room with open fire. Outside is off road parking for two cars, and shared use of the walled garden with furniture and countryside views. Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars.
